Ive kept a couple different kinds before given em up. Don't start with something boring looking that you'll loose intrest in quickly. Best advise I can give is buy from someone that knows there stuff. I'm no pro on hfb, but might wanna see about posting in the inverts section. Good luck to ya!

Moss is the best plant for shrimp tanks. The other plants you said would be good too. But you really need moss for baby shrimp. I have some African water fern. I love thus plant it's very easy to grow in a low tech shrimp tank.
