Thinking about doing a large terrarium/vivaquarium

Have no idea where to start.

What would you like to do as far as focus species? Tree frogs, snakes, and geckos all do well in a palludarium style setup. Tarantulas are surprisingly easy as well and some can be kept semi-communally in a set up like that.

Frogs if not some blizzards, no spiders.

Red Eye and most tree frogs do well in a Palludarium type setup, PDF can drown in any very deep water features. Some of the Gargoyle geckos are cool as well as some day geckos for some nice colors. Designing it might be a bit tricky, but similar to a PDF set up with a raised shelf to avoid water integration. I would use some support rocks (bricks or something uniform) to set your shelf. Maybe use some type of slatted or drilled plastic and black silicone in place. Start with a layer of Hydroton or gravel, screen it off and add some PDF mix to build your substrate bed. You could use the kittly litter wall route or build out of Great Stuff and place various wood features into it. I'd also try and hide any waterfall feature return lines in it. We have a ton of plants your welcome to clippings from in our Vivariums to try out and give some options.
