  • New Neocaridina variant / Blue Diamond

Speedie managed to get some of these in and from his sources they are suggested to be from a chocolate neocaridina line. Some very nice looking shrimp and might start giving a run on the Caridina types that have held the strong blues for quite awhile. The Females are darker and males appear to manifest the blues better.

Re: New Neocaridina variant / Blue Diamond

I saw that and was tempted to make a thread. AVN also has some but they're a much lower grade. They "supposedly" breed true, but we won't know until he actually gets some shrimplets

I want them, but it seems they don't breed completely true yet. There's a good chance of getting chocolate colored ones or mixed chocolate and blues as you can tell from his pictures.

Yes. All shrimp usually keep their color under different shades of light. They can change color under different water parameters or diet.

Be careful with these as I keep and breed them. And they breed all over to board. You may get some nice blue ones some spotty blue ones chocolate ones some spotchy chocolate ones and some cleanish blue or brown ones.

This breed is far from being stable to breed true
