  • Upgrade to D7000

After doing a ton of reading about D600, D7000, and the new d7100 I think I have made a decision.

I am pretty sure I want to get a D7000. I have a D90 now and would really like to upgrade. besides two bodies is better than one.

I know the D7100 hasn't come out yet but I didn't get my D90 till the D7000 came out so it was cheaper. The price for a new D7000 body has dropped and I did some shopping around. I can get a D7000 body, battery grip, second battery, and two memory cards for close to the price listed to pre order a D7100.

So I think that is what I am going to do. What do you guys think?

I would rather have a FF camera too. But I am not sure if I want to spend the only on the lenses.

My other thought was to buying better lenses and keep using my d90 till it dies. I have two fx lenses now maybe I will do that.

Just curious, what does the D7000 do that your D90 won't? Besides better high iso, but unless you take pics in the dark all the time, the money is better spent on better glass.

With the instant rebates right now I'd rather get new. On some of the lenses its cheaper than used and you get a full 5 year warrenty from Nikon on all the new lenses. But it ends tomorrow..

                        $300 off the 24-120 f/4
                        $100 off the 85 1.8
                        $300 off the 70-200 VRII
                        $100 off the 28 1.8

I took advantage of these rebates and bought 5 lenses and actually only paid for 3 of them. The other 2 were basically free due to the instant rebates..

                          Here's the instant rebate info..
