thats right the cant cross breed... thats why i keep yellow neos and CRS on the same tank.. im working on setting a Shrimp rack so as soon as i finish it i will be keeping them on separate tanks.

The blue velvet might have changed colors. There was two threads on tpt recently about green neos. They were popular in the past but became to common and moved on to TBs. There were instances where blue velvets changed color because of diet. Also there are caridinas that are green. Think it was baulbalti sp. Dark green and neon green. Don't quote me on the scientific name. It's something close to that. People still breed them but supposedly the breed and reproduce slow plus they're harder to keep. This is all what I picked up from those threads. I don't have actual experience or personally seen these shrimp. I'd love to try to get some and try my hands at it though!

Every once in a while, my red rilis would have offsprings that would be either velvet blue, clear blue, and on rare occasions the green.
