    This is a 14 image stack @ 2 min 53 sec of exposure using DeepSkyStacker @ Default settings and processed through Lightroom 3.6 @ TiFF 16bit

    I been working with LE shots. Effects are wild.

      I using stacking in my macro images and now in my astrophotography. The short version is that you take a bunch of images and "stack" them on top of each other to the effect you are going for. In macro it is to increase the depth of field and in astrophotography (like HDR) it is to capture a greater dynamic range.

            Thanks, guys. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Really want to get out to a dark site.... And now gettin the itch for a bigger scope.

                True, but we don't have to go that far for the darkest skies. Big Bend National Park and the Grand Canyon have the darkest skies (darkest magnitude) in the USA that are easily accessible.
