  • LED 15000k Light

So I was looking for an energy efficient and less heat lighting for my shrimp/planted tank. Is LED a good choice of lighting for the plants when it has a 15000k light output and less heat emitted from it?

I would think with a kelvin that high it would not be as beneficial to plants. Finding the PAR output of that lamp would be the way to determine if it's appropriate for plants.

They have a selection from 5000, 7500, and 10000. The tank is only 7 gallons. Which one should I go with? The bulb I'm currently using is a 6400k.

Oh, they also have 6400k one, should I just stay with that spectrum? I'm just asking if its ok to use LED.

It would depend on what LED they are using, CREEs would be best but the a ton of std LEDs would suffice with some plants
