That was the one with the "working box". I had to demonstrate that in order to get the bids up for my friend John...it was his light.

Given the grumbling last year about the Mother's Day date, I couldn't believe there was such a terrific turn-out this time, and so many wonderful items to bid on. I think they were still pouring in when I had to leave. Sadly, I seem to be stuck on night shift almost everytime one of these rolls around so I was fading, and my friend had to get home and cook for a family gathering, so we could only stay for the beginning of the sale. Tried to get back for some of the end, thinking with all that stuff,it would go on till 7pm, at least. When we got there, the last few buyers were checking out! I did intend to mostly sell, but I wanted to try for some of those Nerite snails, at least, and that red betta I saw in DRV(?)'s batch of stuff could have easily made me lose my head ! What a stunner!
Hope my big Juli marlieris got a nice new home. Had to give them up to make space in the big tank for the not-babies-anymore koi angels I got at the winter auction. They're sure gorgeous, but the guppies would like for me to get them out of their tank so some of their children can survive. Anyway, glad the day turned out so well, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
