the female isnt as shy as the male.

the male hiding he was hard to get a picture of. i noticed his mouth was a little crooked. i think he'll be okay though.

I think the main issue is Houston tap water. Our water is really hard and they like soft water

The water is probably the biggest problem. Most SA dwarfs do prefer softer/acidic water. A.Cacatuoides is actually ok with the water here. I have a few breeding pairs that have had no problems.
