From what you say your puffs are aggressive toward each other, trying to put cherries in there could just make them more aggressive. I have a couple ghost shrimp in my puffer tank but they are not aggressive toward each other or the shrimp. I hope you don't just lay out a seafood buffet for the puffs. But that is why I am hesitant to put a different looking shrimp in there. I feed blood worms and I am afraid they would see a red shrimp and nibble his face.
