  • Lighting question

I purchased my set up used (2 tanks) used.

I noticed one tank has real soft lighting halogen like

The other tank has real bright pure white lighting almost like LED.

Both tanks have a 48" florescent bulbs

My preference is the pure white light. Question is what kind of bulb is this?

    hope this makes sence.

If you like pure white aka 10k. You could get a t5 fixture with 10k bulbs. Or you can go with LEDs the light they put out is very crisp and white. It all depends on you budget

Yes it is possible to just get 10k bulbs, and they make them in T5, T8 and T12. Bulbs have to match your fixture because there are regular T5's and T5 HO (High Output) which are higher watt.

Im not sure but if it helps any it looks like this and have a transformer inline the electrical cord.
Does this help any at all? I can look to see if it has any #'s on it when I get home.

Looks like a regular T8 fixture
