  • African Cichlid tank Journal.

I got this nice 29g with a black background and a aquaclear 110 from a HFB member and I really wanted to do an african cichlid tank. I know the fish are going to outgrow the tank but I'll worry about that when the time comes.

Here's a list of the types of fish I have in there.
    -Yellow fin Borleyis
    -Socolofis
    -Albino Socolofis
    -Lemon Yellow Labs
    -Frontosas
    -Green Terror
    -Bumblebee cichlids

I am currently feeding them Hikari freeze-dried bloodworms, Dainchi cichlid pellets(color fx), TetraColor tropical granules, and frozen blood worms.

It's been about 3-4 weeks since I had this tank up and running now. Here's the pictures!

I don't want any of the fish to become too territorial. So yeah, I change it up everytime I did a water change. Annnnd it looks better everytime as well LOL

Looks good......just keep an eye on your Fronts. At that size they tend to stress rather easy when they are in a tank with more aggressive fish. Just my experience...and it may not even happen to you...just a heads up.

i would agree with dave. frontosas in general are not aggressive fish, not to say they won't eat a fish that will fit in their mouth but they don't usually just attack other tank mates repeatedly. they favor hunting at night at sneaking up on their pray, no need to be aggressive just sneaky.

as soon as those fronts outgrow that tank in 3 months, hit me up. I'm always down to rescue some Fronts.

don't know what to say to that.

oh and i have a friend that has a 72 boiwfront set up. he has the same fronts as me same size and everything. I plan on giving him my fronts if anything happens.
