What (nutrient) is missing for my plants to be doing this? I'm referring to the leaves curling under. They don't "look" as healthy either. Everything is staying alive and even growing, just not sure what to make of this. Thanks.

Looks like a potassium deficiency. Are you dosing any ferts right now?

I am, including Potassium. I'm dosing the recommend amount every other day. You think I should start adding half a dose on the in between days as well?

When i notice deficiencies in my tanks I increase the dose by a little but not the frequency because I'm lazy. From what I read, you can't really OD on Potassium. As long as you can measure the delta from your baseline dose and observe the results, I think it should be ok.

I'm not good at picking out which specific nutrient causes which specific problem. What ferts are you dosing? What amounts? Are you using liquids (if so, which brand) or dry? Please be specific as to what you're doing, how much you're dosing, and how often. It would also help to know the size of tank, lighting, CO2, and photoperiod.

Here's a very detailed chart that can offer clues as to what the different nutrients do to plants when there is a deficiency, excess, or interaction. Very thorough.

Wanna talk about lazy, I don't test levels of any kind.

From what's been said here and what I've read so far it all does seem to lead to a potassium shortage. I'll up that and see if I can get some results. I'll report back in a few weeks.

I know, but I'm buying my ferts from HAW and don't want to take away what little business I already give them now. If we bought everything online then all our mom & pops would go out of business - especially those everyone loves the most, like HAW.

That's basically glorified water. There's hardly anything in those.

If you want to support HAW, take the money you save by buying dry ferts and donate it to HAW. You'd both be better off.

Or convince HAW to carry dry ferts. Then we'd all be better off!
