  • Eshopps vs ProClear Quality/Design

Anyone here have experience with either or both brand wet drys? They have slightly different designs. ProClear with spray bars(something to get clogged?), and sponge between bio area and pump. Mainly just looking for opinions of owners.

    Thanks

I own two pro/clears and one ADG wet/dry.
The Pro/Clear I love because you can install a filter pad easy before the water goes over the bio balls so you can get the big stuff out of the way.
The ADG all I have is a big sponge before it hits the pump and its a little more tedious to clean out etc... because the filter pad, if it gets to dirty.. just replace it. Cannot do that with the sponge.. I Have to clean it as best as I can and then return it.

eshopps black overflow box is the only thing that makes it better....

everything else works the same man.

can't you just buy the overflow box seperatly if you want a black one to go with any wet dry?

yes, that's what I did on my 6 footer.

you know all wet/drys are the same.

Pro-clear makes a better functioning wet/dry but the quality or attention to detail of the eshopps is greater.

I like the overflow of the eshopps but after having one made by Sapphire Aquatics I would go pro-clear with custom overflow.

after seeing johns i would go DIY. spending a couple hundred on a new wet dry is just rediculously expensive.
