I just put in a w/d on my 110 running with a mag12, decided to use a valve with a return back into the sump incase I needed to turn it down. Thanks to John (fshfrk) for not only his DIY overflow, but a helping hand along the way.
    Here are some pics.

It turns out that the mag is too powerful for one overflow, so I may add another but other than that it works great. Good agitation in the tank and also in the sump. Ill try to post a video of it in action.

I'm staring at it and I can't figure the mechanics of the return line, if the bypass valve is after the return?

Now it makes sense. I guess all I needed was application. Thanks!

I will try this tonight to see if it quiets it down.

thanks for the idea bro. i wanted some sort of way to add more agitation in my wet dry, and thats a sweet idea.
i already have that exact setup on my pump minus the return valve.
i had my 300 gallon on a stand 42 inches high. i hard plumbed the overflow with spa tubing, added a (FORGET THE SIZE) pump , cranked her up and found out that spa hose works well for a fast overflow , i also found that i needed three overflow tubes to keep up with the pump. ( before i realised that a shutoff was ok to slow the pump)
talk about toilet flushing sounds.....my tank sounded like a 20 stall bathroom
and every stall was flushing at the same time.
