  • discus laying eggs

after i did water change this afternoon, i saw my discus pair were swiming around the driftwood. one laid a lot of eggs on the driftwood, but the guy folling her took all the eggs to his mouth. was he just holding the eggs or eating the eggs?
    Need some advices from people.

I have seen many "first time" parents eat their eggs because they dont know yet what to do... after a second or third try they will figure it out..

if for any reason they get spooked they will eat the eggs again u should seperate them to there own tank and get one of those breeding cones with the net to keeep them from eating them i mean if you really want babies
