pea puffers with shrimp

I went by my LFS today and saw a small nano tank with pea puffers and cherry shrimp...
Is this possible? Can pea puffers and shrimp live together (happily)???

I'd just like to know yall's opinion.

I dont know from personal experience, but most species of puffers like to eat crustaceans and other crunchy critters.  so they would probably see any small shrimp as potential food.

if you have the tank heavily planted, enough of the shrimp should be able to survive to keep the population up.  especially if you use java moss to give the shrimp places to hide.

man I was watching either food network or travel channel the other day and they showed a restuarant tat offered an ice cream sunday that cost $1000.  It had edible gold leaf, madagascar vanilla bean and papaya "cavier".  That's an expensive snack.  But then again I was never able to get any puffers I ever had to eat ice cream (more for me)

If the cherry shrimp were reproducing fast enough....maybe?  I put a spotted puffer in with 3 dwarf crawfish much bigger than its mouth.  It only took two days tops for it to finish off all 3.  Not a single shell carpace left as evidence.  If those pea puffers hunt anything like the spotted do watchout cherry shrimp.

I actually have a 10g at home with a few RCS and a couple of pea puffers. It's planted pretty well, so i'll have to side with what JStrider said. There aren't many baby shrimp that I've seen, but the puffers don't bother the adults at all.
