Does anyone here go deer hunting?

Venison is my favorite meat, but I don't know how to shoot or own a gun, so I have little to no way of obtaining it.  I know a lot of people use it as a way to feed their families, but I was wondering if anyone here is willing to sell/trade venison.  I make a fine mead, as well as can trade some aquarium equipment or fish...or just buy it - I don't care - but it has been over a year since I have had any and that makes me sad.

I am looking for steaks, roast, and a bit of ground venison.

Not sure asking on here will do me any good, but I figured it couldn't hurt...

most meat processing plants that process deer for hunters sell venison.

I have a lot of venison in the freezer, actually had chicken-fried venison with mashed potatoes and gravy last night, can't beat that !!!    I have some steaks you can have, and some ground. I don't have any roasts though.    I live in Kingwood, so it would be a long drive for you, but if you are in the area, you're welcome to 5-6 packages of steaks and a couple lbs of ground. Might even throw in a package of smoked sausage and some backstrap.    I won't sell it, but you are welcome to some if you are in the area sometime.

Delock, we might could work a deal.  You still have that 330 gal tank you want to get rid of ??   I'll trade you 3 packages of deer sausage and I'll throw in a bonus pack of deer jerky !   :wink:

Valero venison sausage ?  That can't be real deer meat, probably made from some genetically-altered, pen-raised deer that has a tag in it's ear and 6 horns growing out of it's head.

Kris, nice meeting you last might. Enjoy the venison, I'll be opening a bottle of the mead on Sunday.  Can't wait to try it out !
