  • Neolamprologus Brevis tankmates?

ok. say you were gonna get some Neolamprologus Brevis and put them in a 29 gallon tank.  Sand bottom, plenty of shells.  what other fish from that region could you put with them so the tank doesnt look so bare since they are mainly bottom dwellers and the tank is taller. ??

I think you are wanting a fish that stays on the top, sine the Brevis stay on the bottom, correct?

That seems to be a problem... most tangs that occupy the upper parts of the water column seem to like bigger tanks (Cyps, Featherfins). Perhaps some Lamprichthys would work. They may get too large as well. You'd have to do some research on 'em. Non-breeding brichardis/dafodils would work, although they tend to be more rock dwellers.

Personally, I would put in dwarf rainbowfish...

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

                        Common name....brichardi. similar to daffodils.

Will terrorize once they start breeding, colonial breeder but will even kill their own at times.

no. thats not it.  this is the name i wanted.  but today when i was lookin for some more info on them.  i couldnt find that picture i just linked and every picture of fish that that name pulled up didnt have a hump on the head.  i though that maybe they miss labeled the fish in the picture cause i cant find any other pics of daffodils or brichardi with the bump on there head.  am i makin sense??  i been up for almost 24hrs now with only like 3 hrs of sleep.  lol

They both look the same really and the hump happens but also does not.
