        Unbelievable!

I have no idea what you could do. Have you tried calling some vets?

8O  8O  8O , best of luck to you.  I would go with EK's suggestion, somehow I don't think the Heimlich manuever will work on a fish,  but you could try.

Maybe you could get someone to help you and try to pull the rock out with hemostats if it's within reach.

                  Re: holy crap!!

Honestly, if he did manage to swallow a rock I wouldn't be to concerned about it if I were you. You have to remember what species of fish we are talking about here, this is a catfish after all. If he decides the rock is bothering his digestion he will regurgitate it. You have to keep in mind that in the wild these guys are known to swallow just about anything and survive with no il effects. Next time you go fishing and get a catfish in the boat, cut him open and look at what is in his stomache, you will be amazed.

                        Re: holy crap!!

im 99% sure its a rock, because i fed him the crawfish saturday night.. and his stomach was big, but not that big.  one time he had a suction cup in his throat when he was smaller and i had to pull it out with pliers.

he never really swam around much anyways.. so hes stationary as usual, until i feed and then he goes everywhere. havent fed them yet today so, we'll see.

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
