  • New 55 G. Home sweet home

This is the 55 gal. tank and stand I got from Tinman a month or so ago. I've been gradually adding fish that were living all over in assorted tanks since the 150 leaked out. Phish may recognize his old log, aquired by me at the July HAS sale, and somoene else may recognize some of their angels, aquired at the Livebearer auction. My 3 clown loaches love the log, and wouldn't come out for this photo. Most of the plants are very new ( a few from the last HAS sale) and others borrowed from other tanks. They have a way to go, but I'm looking forward to seeing it fill in. I do miss the 150's higher view, but not the ladder.

That is really nice, I also love the driftwood, excellent job!  I actually like an open tank without a background though none of mine are like that   .  When I move, (everyone be forewarned   ) LOL, that may change.

Oh, that looks great!! The fish seem to like it, too.  :)

I love the looks of the light fixture...what brand is it? Very sleek. :)

Mzungu, the light is an Odyssea-type (though not sure it's that brand) that I got on e-bay. It's a T5 HO, 4 bulb fixture. The bulbs are a little challenging to change out because they're set close, but I really like how nice and light the whole thing is for the amount of output. The only thing I'd say against it is that the cord is rather short. It's no problem with this tank, but with my 150 that was 32" tall plus stand, I had to make some adaptations to reach an outlet.
