Custom build cabinet *NOT 56K Friendly*

I have a roomate who is very handy when it comes to building things.
I wanted to show the latest item to make it into the living room.

Just the cabinet



With Empty fish tanks on it.   Top is a 20G Long Bottom is a 30G

Now that's sharp!   Is the space behind lower tank for filter canisters?

I originally thought about putting canisters in there but after a long time of thinking etc..  I have come to the conclusion that I am going to use internal filters instead.   The amount of space in that corner is just not going to make it.  I am going to install a set of Fluval 2 in one and a Fluval 3 in the other.  I have the Fluval 2 already in another tank so I am going to get a canister for it because the space is there and its a planted tank and the fluval gives out a lot current when they are cranked up to 100% output.  

The top tank is going to be my shell dweller tank, Mike is going to order me some Lamprologus Ocellatus, and the filters here next week.

I will take and post more pictures when there is water in the tanks. :)

Could have boxed in the space behind the 30g, and have side access through doors on either side.

How much do you think your roomate will charge to build a canopy for a 125G to match my stand?
