We have a Winner! HFB member VDinh63 is the lucky recipient of the 180g Oceanic tank, equipment and assorted goodies. He has been notified and we are making arrangements for pick up.
I want to thank all who responded with your interest. I also received kind notes from members that didn't need the equipment or have room for it that sent me thanks for what I was doing. I appreciate that, but I'm just paying it forward.
I've enjoyed my time here since 2006 and have met lots of nice people over the years. I'm glad I was able to offer information and advice gained from fishkeeping since 1988 and it all started with winning a goldfish at a church bazaar! This is a great hobby and sometimes you don't fully realize it until you're ready to move on.
Who knows, one day I may be back and start all over again. :) My dream tank has been a 400g+ tank with more wild-caught Moba Frontosa.

Hey Fellow Fishheads! It's been awhile since I've posted here. I used to breed wc mobas for almost 12 years. Sold several hundred F1 fry using this website over that time. My original wc colony slowly died due to old age, but I thoroughly enjoyed keeping them and meeting so many nice people. I have been blessed in my life and want to give something back.
I am offering to give my 180g Oceanic Tank (without stand) and equipment FREE to a fellow Houston Fishbox member. Here are my conditions:
1) Everything goes to 1 Houston Fishbox member. No parting out of the tank/equipment. Please don't ask.
2) Pick up is on a mutually agreeable convenient day and time.
3) You bring a truck/van and enough strong helpers to move it all. I can't lift a heavy tank anymore so you will have to bring the muscle.
4) I want pics of your new-to-you set up with fish in it.
Here's the most important condition that I have.........that this set up goes to someone that might not be able to afford it, takes care of it as I have and really enjoys fishkeeping. Via private messaging here, send me something about yourself and why I should give this to you. This isn't a first-come, first-serve deal, but a most deserving deal. Deadline to apply is: Wed, Dec 29th.
Here's a partial list of what I have to give:
-Oceanic 180g aquarium (6x2x2) without stand. No leaks and is running.
-180 lbs of CaribSea aragonite sand
-(2) 2216 Eheim cannister filters with media
-(2) 6080 Tunze Streams
-(2) Titanium 500w heaters with commercial controller
-WISA air pump
-Schego air pump
-Back up air pump
-Several quality pieces of Texas Holey rock. 2 are large and show quality.
-Neptune Apex Controller (pre-owned, but never used)
-several other smaller aquarium items.
I guestimate this pre-owned set up is worth almost $1,000. I paid alot more.
