  • Convict, Green terror, Jack Dempsy

Need to get rid of all my South American species. It's coming up on breeding season and I need the space. All are mature breeders and would love a new home. I am only asking $7 a pair for the gt's, convicts you can have for free, the Jacks I am asking $3 apiece. Here are a couple pics to give you an idea of what these fish look like.

    Thanks Scott
the green terror pair are happy in their new 68g home.

The male alternates between the cave I built out of blue slate (covered with natural gravel) and the large stump on the open end of the tank.
The female is still hiding in the large bunches of artificial plants.

Being South Americans I assume they like soft (jungle) water.  But they seem to be doing ok in the local water for now.

Do they need a piece of slate to spawn on like angles or do they use something else ?
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Actually, these guys have been raised from fry in 8.2 water. As for breeding requirements, feed them and you will get fry, I promise. No secret potions, no sacred pacts, nothing, water and food and you get babies.

        Thanks
They're really starting to color up now.
