    Old stand and canopy from my 40 gallon breeder



    Sanding down the tank and canopy for new paint



    Got the tank from craigslist and had to do some deep cleaning


    36" nova extreme 4xt-5 with moon light


    Redoing sump to size needed


    Sump test run


    Painting tank black


    Installing light on the canopy


    Added 2 computer fans, one outake and one intake


    Spray bar around the whole tank with mag 9.5


    Oddysea skimmer ps160


    Test run


    Everything running correctly. Waiting for cycle to complete.

      its been a little over 2 weeks. added some hermit crab today. seeing how that goes then im going to order my CUC from www.reefcleaners.org

      I might have to do the same thing with my stream tank build....

      I like it J I might have to start a saltwater tank while the wife is out of town....

      seems to be putting out good flow through out the tank. hooked it up to an mag 9.5 at full power

      I think I got the skimmer to run right now. Got some foam forming now. Water line is Where the collection starts. Might be a little high though? Or is that ok. Collection cup is about 4inch high.

      Depends on what you want.

      Some people skim wet while others like to skim dry.

      I prefer skimming dry with really dark black skimmate.

      How often is the collection cup getting full? Lol, you shouldn't have to dump it out ever 3 hours. I only like cleaning the collection cup once a week during water change.

      There's no live stock yet. Just added some hermit crabs the other day.

      barely started to get some foam. Foam is Reaching the cap for the collection cup.

      yeah i wasn't getting anything until i through in my filter pad in there from my 15g sw tank

      thanks im a sw noob too just did alot of researching and youtube. ahaha
