  • blue hippo tang help

Back in November my brother brought me a 5" blue hippo tang for my bday. I didn't want it because I never had any luck in the past with them but it was a gift. I never see the tang eat anything. He's getting so skinny that his bones and ribcage are showing. Apparently he's eating something cuz he's still alive. I tried to feed it pellets, flakes, seaweed, even mysis shrimp. I have a smaller yellow tang that was in there before the blue tang. Could it be bullying the blue tang?? I never see the yellow messing with the blue tho. If so, how can I stop it?? Please help!!

Throw it in a quarentine tank or in the sump maybe even a breeder box and see if you can get him to eat isolated

Try more frozen foods, and enhance the flavors with garlic supplements. I use Rod's Food, Mysis, Brine, and nori for my little hippo. It's always soaked in garlic or Selcon before I feed. Drives them nuts.
