    Hi , is this a good sand ? quality? etc etc?



    CaribSea Aragonite Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand

    125 gal-P. Kachase,simochromis, vampire pleco,bn pleco,bulldog pleco

    55 gal- Ilangis ,clown pleco,abn pleco,rubber lip pleco

    55 gal-Canary cheek,Ikola,duboisi, and fry

    10 gal -fry tank,snails

    Yup. I just bought the smallest grit size aragonite they had at city pets. They sell the large bags at a decent price.

        I am very new to this , and its crazy feel like i gotta learn everything again , so many years in only Fw

          It doesn't have to be specifically that one. Just needs to buffer the pH to 8 or higher. I forgot what I used, but it was a 25# bag from City Pets. "Aragonite with essential trace elements" is what the bag said. I just grabbed it because it was the smallest bag they have.

            Its all preference of what you like i dont like the finer sand cause it has a tendancy to blow around bigger grain sand stays put better

              This is why I like aragonite. They're a bigger grit size than all the other sands.

                Sand is one of the last items you need in a salt tank unless you want some critters which dwell in the sand.

                  Tropic eden is another great brand of sand. It wont cloud the water like caribsea does.

                      I almost get that tropic Eden but only went I get
