UV Sterilizer

I've been thinking about adding a UV sterilizer to my salt tank. How many of you all use one of these? I've heard both good and bad things in searching the web.

I don't currently use one but I've heard great things for multiple uses, in multiple types of tanks. I used one on my last salt tank. It was fish only. Never had issues. Sold it with the tank, wish I hadn't.

My tank has both fish and corals (LPS\SPS & others). Only a 40g & I do 5g water changes every week, so I wasn't sure.

What's your filtration? I like the ones you can couple to a canister. The other ones I like are the powerhead ones, petsmart sells them.

I have a 10g refugium under the tank with a protein skimmer, live rock, etc.

I would go with the powerhead uv filter then. I think it would do well for you.
