  • A quick video of my Elephant Nose hunting

Thought I would share a quick video of my Elephant Nose hunting for bloodworms. (All of them were pretty much already eaten up by the time I decided to shoot the video) I just think its pretty cool how they use their "nose" to root in the sand for possible food. Anyways, hope you enjoy.

Is it really a nose or an extended "chin" with nerve endings/sensors?

    Cool fish.

You are correct! It is actually under the mouth and it is highly sensitive to electrical pulse.
