  • My new Gnathonemus petersii (Elephant nose)

Got this guy today as I have been wanting one for awhile. I was nervous due to their need for perfect water conditions, but seeing how I have my filtration WAY upgraded from what I had, I went ahead with it. Without further ado, Dumbo! (My Wifes idea) lol

And here are a couple more pics of some others, so I dont have to start a new thread for each.

First is my African Butterfly (Pantodon buchholzi) and some updated pics of my African Long-tailed Spiny Eel (Mastacembelus frenatus).

Looks like your African tank is going good! I like looking at those guys but never really wanted to keep them

Thanks Mista! Yeah its going pretty good, but the water has been cloudy all day today after I did my water change. I built a new water changing set up and needless to say, the submersible pump I bought is just a little to strong. lol Blew sand everywhere. Starting to clear up though.

Dude, you have the quintessential African biotope tank. Haven't seen any other tanks on here with such variety.

Thanks Mogan! I originally wanted to do a tank just from one lake, but there were just to many fish I like from different areas. I just went ahead and decided on Africa period. I had to stay somewhat true to the area.
