My Fire Flame Goby freaked me out last night... I turned on my bedroom light and noticed he was floating ontop the water.. I was like oh no... he's dead. So I poked him with my finger and he woke up and swam down to the bottom and acted like nothing was wrong... what a relief!
If any of you have a a fire Flame Goby, do they normally sleep at the top of the water???

Sometimes my Oscars sleep lying flat on top of one another, either on the bottom or lying up against the side, like an Oscar sandwich. I thought they were dead the first time I saw them. Fish do funny things!

The first time I saw the gourami do it I lift the hood no movement so I poked him he swam down about an inch or so and I swear he started cursing me out for waking him up even giving me the crazy eyes you know the look the Wtf go to hell look

I had a six line do this to me and I flipped out. I think it's when they aren't comfortable in their usual spot because either something is blocking it or to much flow is being pushed through it.
