Thursday I did a water change on my bio 14. I always remove the fan before a water change as not to damage the fan. Seeing that I am using 150 watt hqi to light it (sps tank) and not using a chiller, the fan is essential to cooling the tank. The fan is set with light on a timer so they come on at the same time. Well... long story short, forgot to put fan back. Still seeing what survives. My purple monti caps are dead. Same with my little bubble coral I saved from a LFS. Not sure about the rest yet. It goes to show ya that one little mistake can have a tremendous consequence.

Brah, you need fail safes.
Having a tank controller like the apex or reef keeper would help too.
