I'm hopefully going to upgrade my 65 gallon tank from 150 watt MH to a 250 watt MH and wondering would the 150 watt MH be overkill on a 14 gallon biocube

    I ran 2x70w + 2x18w over my NC12g
My old MiniM had 70w MH over it and it was like a 5g FW planted

Overkill is a word used for those that fear awesomeness

      this should be your sig.

I would have to agree that 150w would not be overkill.
      25g - Reef
      3.5g - Surge Tank
10g - Ichthyophthirius multifilis breeding colony

No overkill, i'm running 150W HQI on my 60p (12" tall) and corals are happy.
