Nice ever thought about other fish instead of koi..

I have, but I really like, Koi had some when I was younger, and wanted to be able to sit in my recliner watch TV and watch the Koi in the AC.

Have a 500g w/ lilies & plants and a 3000g koi only

Wow, I'm going to have a box with bog/marsh marsh plants that runs next to some windows, and then feeds into the pond. How many koi do you have?

Have 8 koi. Limited the number as size goes up to 29" with the smallest two in the 12" range. Most are standard fin / 3 are butterfly. Raised about 1/2 of them in the 500g till ready to transfer to larger. Now the 500g is planted and a great holding / isolation if ever needed
