  • My new Taiwan Painted Fire Reds

They're a bit less active than cherries probably due to all the selective breeding, but nonetheless beautiful shrimp. Oh and one more thing, they HATE having pictures taken lol

    (excuse my poor photography skills)

Are they much larger than RCS?
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

The females are a little bigger than most RCS Ive seen, the males are pretty small though they have stripes, to me they kinda look like red tigers.

Thank you..One thing Ive noticed is that compared to CRS they're relatively shy. My CRS went all over the tank, these stay together and hide.

nice, do you believe that they are more sensitive to the water conditions then regular rcs?

Actually I've read that they're not much more difficult to keep than RCS but I keep them in 100% R/O water cause with a $7 shrimp I don't wanna risk it lol..

I have 10 adults plus some babies and a berried female :) all in a 2g cube lol
