The new AI lights are awesome. Make sure the firmware is updated to 3.0. Is that the superblue or superwhite?

I saw a rack of these lights set up to a computer program to simulate a storm. They are some awesome lights. Just a little out of my $$$$. I am planning to do LED on my new SW tank build, but will have to go with a lesser lighting system unfortunately.

the ai controller came with 3.0 right outta the box.

they are a bit pricey, but i don't mind paying a bit more for a well designed american product. The boards could have been populated in china, but I think everything else is assembled in america. I hear the customer service is awesome, i hope i never have to find out but good to know its there when i need them.

What's nice about these, is that both the controller's firmware and the LED's are upgradable. As long as AI doesn't go under (not forsee-able) you wont have to buy a new fixture, but just upgrade the firmware (free), and upgrade the actual LEDs.

yea.... its nice. prices on new leds aren't too bad.

its $25 dollars per puck, its 3 leds on a puck. 3w Cree Xp on stars range from 6-8 dollars. So its not that much more than DIY leds prices. The only bad thing i can say about the lights is.... they look kinda cheesy the way they want use to hang them up. I wish there was an enclosure i could buy to hide them all in.

1) I do legal paper work for poor people.
2) I don't charge them.
3) I have the occasional sip of cheap liquor once the day ends.
