  • GHAC Collection trip

The weather is finally getting bearable. This was brought up at the September meeting. When and where? Some people mentioned wanted to do a brackish collection trip. some want fresh. Who is interested?

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I may go to hang out and help, depending on the weekend. . . but I don't need any fish. What would I need in terms of permits, licenses, etc.?
Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids." )

            Great question.

Fishing Rules (Collecting counts as fishing) http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/

            Licenses:

            Resident One-Day All-Water FishingResident$11.00
            Non-Resident One-Day All-Water Fishing$16.00
            Resident Freshwater Fishing PackageResident$30.00
            Resident Saltwater Fishing PackageResident$35.00
            Resident All Water Fishing PackageResident$40.00
            http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business.../recreational/

You can be fined for fishing without a license . . .

for $11 I definitely plan on getting a license.

I have a license and would consider going. Don't need any fish, but a can throw a cast new pretty well. don't own any sane nets. Also have waders.

Just FYI, many of the brackish killifish in Freeport (with the exception of Diamond Killies) can be easily converted to FW. If we did brackish, it would also be GHAC day at the (Quintana) beach. My vote is still on brackish.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
