  • Surface Skimmer for Nano Reefs?

    Anyone using Subcurrent's surface skimmer?

I think it's either this or a full blow eshopps overflow and sump for my 60p.
I ate my fish that died.

there is a HOB filter that has a surface skimmer, http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.co...9&pcatid=16729 don't have any experience but maybe for a nano it will work just as well. it seems like the downside to the filter you mentioned is evaporation. The water level could evaporate below the surface skimmer and cause a burnout. Although an ATO solves that problem

OR, i just thought about it. get the surface skimmer for a CRP bakpak skimmer and create your own overflow.

Sump it up! That way you can hide all the other junk. Heaters and ato etc etc. Too messy looking with all the wires n junk hanging everywhere.

I had that HOB with the surface skimmer. Two words.... it sucks. Its not made for saltwater. Something started rusting in mines.
