Fahaka puffer laid eggs

Well, there ya have it. 'Homer' is a girl.

Turned on her lights this morning to find a large mass of eggs in a pit she's been digging behind her rocks. This sure explains a lot. She's been moody. She'll be distant one day, then all over the place the next. She'll eat a lot one day, then not want what is offered the next. And she's been attacking her own reflection. Well...now we know.

I'm not sure if Beaker is a male or female. Probably won't know for a LONG time though. He/she is still pretty young.

I've read a couple of accounts of breeding, but they never include photos, so I'm not convinced they are real. And one of the articles I read said that the male was killed during the act, and the female lost her tail and dorsal, then died later. I couldn't risk it. I don't think I could live with myself if they ended up killing each other.

Nope. I've got to vacuum them out, but want her to be okay with that before I do.
