figure 8 skims the walls of tanks?

i know you guys heard about puffers getting bored and going up and down tanks but my tank is pretty decorated. 4 pieces of slate, pvc pipe, fake plant, a rock and a flower pot all in a 10 gallon. he still seems to just skim the back wall or whatnot, and kinda runs away alot. when i first got him, he used to eat out of my hand and stuff and was more aggressive. is it because i feed him too much? i just want him to be more active lol. had him for about 1-2 weeks now.

how often do you feed it?

puffers should only be fed about every other day....

oh..i feed it like everyday, i guess thats why. maybe he isnt interested in food anymore lol. ill slow down.

I feed our puffers every day too, but I have fat fish ), and ours still want food every time I walk by the tank. Check your water parameters and make sure something isn't irritating him. Ammonia, nitrite, high nitrate, pH swings...all those can make him uncomfortable (if not kill him).
