  • Green Terror HELP

I have a Male Green Terror about 1 1/2 years old. Today I noticed a slimy, stringy(about one inch) looking thing hanging from the corner of his mouth. Also noticed a redness at the base of his pectoral fins. I removed him to a tank by his self and started him on melafix. I know I have not discribed this very well be its the best I can do, does anyone have any advice. Thanks, MB

That sounds like a good start. Who were his tankmates before you moved him? And are any of them showing any signs of illness or aggression? Is the 'whatever it is' still hanging from his mouth? Would it be possible for you to post pics?

He was in a tank of Frontosa, of which all seem to be fine. The what ever it is, is still there. I was thinking of removing it, but maybe I should give the Melafix a chance first. I will try to get a pic. He shows no other sign of trouble. He is willing to eat(should I keep him on his food?). He do not seem to be stressed. MB
