pro/con Caribsea Sugar Sized Aragonite Sand

Got some free Caribsea Sugar Sized Aragonite Sand and some free crush coral. Might mix them....might not. Thinking about using this as substrate for my ilangi tank.  Been looking at a lot of pictures and notice the ilangis looks a lot better on lighter substrate.  

Just wondering what the other more seasoned hobbyist think about this as substrate.

Aragonite.... all pro no con.
Crushed coral... con- sharp edges and will also trap detritus.
