Lamp. Leleupi 'Firecracker'

I am looking for about 5-6  Lamp. Leleupi 'Firecracker' juveniles for my tang. tank I'm setting up.

I have 2 questions:
1- Where can I find them around the Houston or Woodlands area??
2- I saw them one place, but they were yellow, not orange... Were they mis-labeled, or would they change to orange as they aged?

They are all the same....the "firecracker" is just a ploy to either charge more money or to sell them faster.


There is Ultimate Fish which is on 2920 which should have them.

I thought they were supposed to be more vivid orange w/a hint of purple underneath??

There is purple and the regular ones....but the purple ones look more little dirty oranges if you don't get good ones.

The "firecracker" is not a seperate variant or anything just the prettier ones but a true place will sell them as normal leleupi's.

So there are basically 2 types of leleupi - orange leleupi and yellow leleupi, correct?

This is what I believe is correct. I had some of the lilacs that were a nice purplish color and the orange ones were orange but I really think the yellow and orange are the same.

According to Ad Konings they are all the same.

Are you able to put different ones together in the same tank, or no?
I am looking to have 2 pairs in a 30L tank. I'll probably get like 10, wait for 2 pairs to show themselves, then trade off the others for credit toward food or whatever...  I would love to have some really vivid orange ones. I saw some adult 'firecracker' ones that were beautiful, but would rather get juveniles and raise them together.
Do you have a photo of the lilac ones you had? I don't believe I've ever seen those (not that I'd be able to find them here anyways, lol).

Here is a pic of what was traded to me as a purple leleupi. I think I got it from eklikewhoa actually. I have three of them that have bred multiple times.
