    Re: Nitro R/C

Well there goes the answer to my question from the other post.

I use to run 1/10th scale on-road electric not too long ago. Uncle owned Reflex off of I-10 and we use to race at MM as well.

      Re: Nitro R/C

I have a Revo 3.3 at the moment. I am thinking of getting a 1/10 or 1/8 buggy. It's either a buggy or a new 215g tank. I am undecided. I went to M&M last week. I don't like the people there and thier off road track has more grass growing in it that I care for. I like Mike's in Porter. It is a clean blue grove and covered so your not in the sun all day.

aww man... the beach (but you gotta pretty much dissesemble to clean) my backyard it has hills lots of rocks and mudding areas. and the creek. hehe.. yea boats look fun, the only thing i see wrong is what you would do if its in the middle of the lake and the motor shuts off??? cause you know the cars do that sometimes... that makes me wonder about getting one

              Re: Nitro R/C

I dont know if its a great place to race boats but I have seen several people race boats on the water just inside the George Bush Park at the West Oaks Mall side.   I have seen almost any kind of R/C boat there.  And because the reservoir wall is right next to it, it stops the wind from making it choppy.

                Fishing pole.

We raced boats in the bayou once and that happened...good thing the fishing pole was in the trunk so it was a matter of time before it was brought back to shore.

I raced mainly HPI cars cause I felt their stuff was nice...had a fully carbon Pro2 and then raced the pro3 in the HPI challenge when they came to San Antonio in the stock class which was a blast!

It's been some time since I have been to MM but there was a worker there that was really cool, the owners I agree with you smokin. Mike, spray that supra! you could just spray the intercooler....in this weather I think you would gain some serious power!

                  Re: Nitro R/C

Traxxas makes the Nitro Vee which has an electric return-to-shore feature that looks cool.

They also say to always stand on the down wind side of where you are running so if you do have a flame out the wind will blow it back to shore.

                    Re: Nitro R/C

hehe, or I could just keep the boat hooked up to the fishing line. Yea EK I know I could get crazy Hp gains. Not to mention getting the roll from the dig (my lag is ridiculously bad) but i'm just not a fan of spray. Besides when boost kicks in, its like pissed off SPRAY !!

Mike, the spray can be your friend if you let it!

                        LOL

I agree with you on spraying. I have a friend who ran a 175 shot on a Navigator. It was wicked, but it's to easy to screw up while spraying.

I have my wife talked into buying a 425hp Challenger the begining of 2010. Hopefully they will drop in price some after a year. Anyway I have my fingers crossed that STS will have a rear twin kit for it by that time. That should easily be pushing the 650hp mark on 7 pounds.

                          NIce!

My days of "talking" the other into things I must have are over....In 2000 I bought a '00 Honda Civic Si redid some things here and there like change out the whole ignition system to an external amplified one...redid the head to handle the high rev it has....added piggybacks so I can run the fueltrim like I want and oh yeah....100 shot.

Lets say this...the car was a super sleeper....bare on the outside...plain black..stock wheels with sticky ickys and it ran low 12's daily driven and the fiance didn't know the whole story. 6months later and two car lengths ahead a mustang cobra and it was done!

Threw a rod in the thing and had warranty voided...new block installed for the infamous at the time LS/Vtec and sold the thing.

To this day when I look at my car funny she is on me like white on rice!

I got a '69 stang in the garage that I built a motor for but never finished cause it's been so hot out lately...
