  • Garlic eating plecos???

I have recently read an article that suggests that you feed your pleco garlic to build its immune system up naturally.

    Well...has anyone ever tried it?

and it keeps the vampire fish away !  :skull:
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Garlic is good in any fish's diet!

I feed my zebras NewLifeSpectrum H20 wafers which doesn't waste as fast as other wafer/pellets and it has garlic in it.

So, I can cut up a small piece of fresh garlic and feed it to my fish?
Or, does it need to be processed?

        This is so interesting.

I think you could just squeeze it onto their food, You could always make some food for your plecos and use some garlic in it.

Yes, but what about the Vampire Plecos, PhishPhreek??

A lot of the saltwater fish foods add garlic, and I don't remember what company, but I know of one that makes a garlic additive you can add to your fish food. For instance, I use Formula Two flakes from Ocean Nutrition, which has added garlic. And if I'm not mistaken, I think garlic formulas also help with "picky" eaters.

I'd be interested to find out how people use "real" garlic cloves for their fish foods! Anyone do this?

You could just throw it in the blender along with your mix of like with finicky fish you can just soak the food in the juices.

Seachem makes the Garlic Guard which you can add to your fishes food.
