the top two are the calvus and the bottom one looks like the comp.

what i have been told is that calvus are dominated by dots whereas comps are dominated by stripes. someone correct me if i am wrong

you're right armthehomeless, top two r pics of the same fish thats my white calvus and 3rd pic is my Gold Head (i believe) comp ... i have a Black calvus also but can't get a good pic of it ...

I've seen some pics of yellow calvus ... they look very similar to the Compressiceps ... have anyone seen or own yellow calvus ?

I have no idea how apparent the difference is in younger specimens...
it seems difficult to tell the differences in the adults...

the head shape is different on the two, the calvus is more straight and the comp more curved.

the yellow calvus is nicer i think ...

what i notice so far is that comp lips are more vertical than calvus ...

yeah more upturned and their dorsal seems to extend higher.

That's a lot of Frontosa!  How big is your tank?  Is it big enough to handle them full grown or do you plan on culling them down the road?

i will cull them eventually ... now they're in a 55g ... hopefully i have the resource to upgrade to something much bigger in the near future when they get a lil' bigger ...
