I just bought a house in Harris county -- this is my first home purchase and I am new to Texas as well. I know I need to have the property taxes put into my name but the county appraisal district's web site is entirely useless. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make this happen? Or maybe just point me to the necessary information? THANKS!

Just kidding .... I think that stuff is all taken care of when you change the title into your name ... I would talk to the title company and realtor you used when you closed on the house.
Oh by the way .... welcome home .... buying my house was the first step in growing up for me, because that's when I realized how much easier it was just living off mom and dad.
