I've always heard that Corys do best in small groups. My question: Does that have to be a group of the same species? There are 3 or 4 different species that I would like to have but I don't have room for 3 or more of each one.

they will sometime school together with different kinds but they prefer similar at least when i have seen different kinds housed together. you might want to pick two very different kinds and keep a small school of each to see the two shoals school apart from one another. also if you have very good water quality and stay on top of it pygmy corries dont take up as much room in a tank.Never fear I is here

Which species do you have in mind?
Like Tiapan said, they will probably prefer similar kinds. For instance, I doubt pygmies would school around with C. aeneus or another larger species. (Also, the pygmies tend to swim all over the tank, rather than sticking to the bottom.) If you consider pygmies, and find some, let me know, I've been looking to expand my little school. :)"Millennium hand and shrimp!"Comment
