Yes but it currently is occupied with fish that will be eaten by this thing

If you do not want him, and no one else does, why not just make dinner out of him, instead of just outright letting him die?

If I had raised it, I'd eat it, but since I didn't, I'd rather not. It was not mine and the previous owner had it growing in a tank that was filthy. The stench from the water was disgusting! Thanks for the input though.
