  • wtb:small schooling fish,Tetra Whisper 60 impeller and light

I'm setting up a tank for my girlfriends male crayfish(no more breeding darnit!)

looking for people up on the north side of town in Spring or the woodlands areas.  I dont want to drive too far.

and I plugged in my filter and Its not sucking any water, so if you have an impeller, motor, or just a whole filter I'd be interested.

I'm also looking for some fish to go in that tank.  These fish will be living with a crayfish and the slow learners may get eaten.

looking for some small tetras or white cloud minnows, or some other little fish that stay towards the top and is pretty quick.

looking for a dozenish of the fish.

The light doesnt need to be anything special, going on an unplanted tank, the tank is 36inches long.

let me know if you've got any fish or parts that might help me out!

Just curious, but did you fill the filter up with water before plugging it in? Usually it won't suck up any water if that's so.

I did fill it up with water before I plugged it in.  I thought that was needed to make it work.

When I get home I'll dump it out and try that.

still didnt work, looking at the impeller, the magnet part and the impeller part are separated and dont spin together, they are supposed to be connected if I remember correctly

              Superglue is fine.

well superglued the impeller... and bought a new impeller as well...

got a lamp at mikes... he happened to be at his shop when I drove by...

and I got some fish while I was out and about as well

                so I'm pretty set now
